American Forces Network broadcast worldwide 8 Channels of programming direct from California. To receive these channels a satellite decoder AFN 7500 which has a recording feature must be purchased from the Base Exchange at either Kadena or Foster Power Zone for $225.00. The programs are free but purchase of a decoder, dish and installation is necessary. After the Dish Installation is complete one more process is necessary.
Go to myafn.net and on the Home Page Click Manage My Decoder then Input the necessary info found on the bottom or back of box click next then
Input personal information and email address for verification. Email will be sent to your address for verification you must click the link to finish the process. Once the link has been sent and the dish is connected leave the decoder on until a picture appears. (May take up to 4 hours usually 30~40 Minutes)
